IVR DATA PIPELINE FOR WELL-KNOWN CHARITY
This charity had found it impossible to to track how their listeners were interacting with their new IVR, hence were unable to convince their funders of its worth. JumpData developed a system to not only extract the data cleanly from the system, but upload relevant metrics to a dashboard, thus allowing the charity to present their results back to their funders.
“Jump Data have been an absolute pleasure to work with. A fantastic, personal service, they’ve really gone the extra mile to understand the data needs of my organisation, filling the gap between our data and technical teams with their ability to create data specifications and test implementation of ETL jobs. I would strongly recommend!”
Our client required a new data-pipeline to populate their Tableau dashboards that tracked various metrics relating to their high volume IVR system without any manual intervention.
The call data was exported weekly from the client’s IVR system as flat text files. We specified, then implemented in Python and SQL, various ETL jobs that imported, cleaned and recoded this data, then uploaded it to the client AWS database. We further created the relevant queries in the database to populate the dashboard.
Our solution enabled the client to have weekly Tableau dashboards of their IVR data without any input from themselves. The code was flexible enough to cope with major changes in the IVR system that occurred as the project progressed.
